We heard from featured speakers on the three core topics of this year’s Think Before You Pink campaign, Think Before You Pink Goes Rogue: environmental racism, fossil fuel divestment and the politics of breast cancer. After debuting the first action of the campaign, we took collective action together at this virtual, nationwide event.

This event offered attendees an opportunity to take action on our annual Think Before You Pink® campaign Stop Banking on Breast Cancer, and featured Emcee Tania Katan alongside panelists BCAction Executive Director Krystal Redman, BCAction Program Manager Jayla Burton, BCAction Board Member CoCo Villaluz, and Scientist and Author Sandra Steingraber.

This virtual fundraising gala kicked-off a week-long art auction that uplifted the connections between breast cancer, health, and social justice.

Cary Medical Center’s Pink Aroostook and Healthy You programs are partnering to rally communities to “Think Beyond Pink” at a free breast cancer survivor celebration and film screening of the documentary Pink Ribbons, Inc.

Every October we challenge the cancer industry and go after one of the most egregious pinkwashers of the year. After having attended this event, we promise you’ll never see a pink ribbon the same way again.

These two direct actions featured the September 8th Rise for Climate, Jobs, + Justice March at the Global Climate Action Summit and the September 13th follow-up action.

During this wonderful day at the beautiful Windmill School and LaureL Education Center, we laughed, we cried, we made some noise and we made it clear that the breast cancer epidemic is far from over!

Together we laughed out loud, enjoyed dynamic performances from Bay Area musicians, comedians and dancers, and were moved by readings from Breast Cancer Action members

At our 7th Annual Action Speaks Louder Than Pink – Food for Thought event guests enjoyed a delicious four-course meal , heard a riveting program featuring our award-winning Think Before You Pink® campaign, and spent time with the amazing BCAction community!

This event featured live music by Ronny Crawford and Dr. Sigmund’s 100% All Natural Family Band.

The 5th annual Acting Out – For the Health of It variety show was a fun and provocative evening filled with bold performers who all share a commitment to health justice.

Action Speaks Louder Than Pink – Food for Thought was held October 5th, 2016 with renowned SF Bay Area chefs.

We joined thousands of people in the streets of Philadelphia before the Democratic National Convention to shine a light on one of the most critical issues of our time: the health harms from fracking and other forms of dangerous drilling.

The San Francisco book launch celebration for So Much to be Done: The Writings of Breast Cancer Activist Barbara Brenner.

This live-streamed event featured a panel discussion that explores the effects of the fossil fuel industry on the health of Californians.

Breast Cancer Action’s 4th Annual Acting Out was a fun and provocative evening filled with bold performers who all share a commitment to health justice.

This event featured a thought-provoking program with guest panelists Peggy Orenstein, New York Times best-selling author of Cinderella Ate My Daughter and Waiting for Daisy and Marion Kavanaugh-Lynch, MD, MPH, Director of the California Breast Cancer Research Program (CBCRP).

This evening event in San Francisco paid tribute to past achievements and united around our vision for achieving health justice for all women at risk of and living with breast cancer.
