The BCAction staff and I are busy planning our virtual fundraiser, Radical Disruption and Compassionate Resistance! We’re feeling the excitement of another October and I’m inviting you to join us on Tuesday, October 12.

Radical disruption and relentless activism is hard work but coming together with our grassroots community for this annual event is always regenerative, inspiring, and exciting. BCAction thrives because of your unwavering support and we want to celebrate that! This year we’ll do it in a unique way as we take collective, industry-disrupting action for our Think Before You Pink® campaign. After all, it’s not a party unless we raise a ruckus?!

Tickets and sponsorships are on sale now!

Radical Disruption and Compassionate Resistance

I’m particularly looking forward to our virtual gathering because our emcee for the event will be none other than our treasured Creative Trespasser, Tania Katan. In all my years at Breast Cancer Action, Tania has proven to be one of my favorite emcees. And she’s one of my favorite humans! She’s warm, funny, and irreverent. Any event with her at the helm is a blast! Check out her bio below and then get your tickets for October 12!

Tania is an award-winning author, inspirational speaker, and co-creator of the globally viral campaign #ItWasNeverADress, a social movement that has inspired over 70 million people to see, hear and celebrate women for the superheroes they are.

Her visionary way of formulating ideas led to the groundbreaking bestseller, Creative Trespassing: How to Put the Spark and Joy Back into Your Work and Life (Penguin Random House, 2019).

As an inspirational speaker, Katan is highly sought after to teach people and companies of all stripes how to kick limiting beliefs to the curb and generate unlimited creative breakthroughs. Some of the organizations and major conferences impacted by her talks include: CiscoLive!, Expedia, Amazon, Google, Humana, Etsy, TED, TJX, American Express, Lesbians Who Tech, World Domination Summit, Uber, and Comedy Central Stage.  Katan’s transformative work on creativity and gender equity has appeared in the New York Times, USA Today, HuffPost, Time, CNN, GLAMOUR, Adweek, Forbes, and Amy Poehler’s Smart Girls.
