Radical Disruption Compassionate Resistance will feature a powerful lineup of experts and activists. As the emcee for the event, I will introduce a discussion between CoCo Villaluz, BCAction’s Internal Affairs Committee Chair, and KR, BCAction’s Executive Director. BCAction Program Manager Haleemah Atobiloye will be in conversation with climate movement leader Tamara Toles O’Laughlin, and BCAction’s partner in the Graton Pesticides (GRaPE) Research Study, Nichole Warwick.
Across their respective areas of expertise, these changemakers will address the three core topics of this year’s Think Before You Pink campaign:
As you know, when we launched this year’s Think Before You Pink® campaign on October 1st, in its twenty-first year, we broke the mold again with another groundbreaking move: Think Before You Pink Goes Rogue. This year’s campaign expands beyond Think Before You Pink’s primary focus on corporate accountability and pink ribbon marketing, and includes deeper political education programming, toward the goal of strengthening our community, aligning our shared understandings of the politics of breast cancer, and ultimately to build the collective power necessary to achieve health justice for all.
During Radical Disruption Compassionate Resistance, on the evening of October 17th, we will take collective action on Think Before You Pink Goes Rogue together!
This nationwide virtual event supports BCAction’s year-round work to address and end the breast cancer crisis – through our annual Think Before You Pink campaign, and beyond.
