We want to say a big thank you to everyone who’s donated in 2022 and to our Spring Fundraiser so far.
It’s with your ongoing support that we are able to do what we do best: work to address and end breast cancer through a health justice lens.
If you haven’t had a chance to donate yet, it’s not too late to support this important work.
We’ve got a lot planned for the next few months and we invite you to be a part of it!
- Our 2nd Annual Drawing the Connections Virtual Community Gathering will take place on Tuesday, June 14. We’ll highlight the intersections between art, breast cancer, and social justice – and uplift art-ivism as a driver of social change. To get sneak peeks of the art as we begin to spotlight the pieces, follow us on Instagram!
- Look out for the release of our new strategic plan in which we envision the next five years. You can learn more about how we will show up in the health justice movement and in the world, what it means to prioritize centering those with the furthest relationships to power, and how we plan to operationalize our values internally and externally.
- And of course, keep an eye on your inbox for ways to take action on important legislation that impacts breast cancer, like the Safer Beauty Bill Package. This historic suite of four bills will make beauty and personal care products safer by banning toxic chemicals and making ingredient transparency the new industry standard. It will also reduce unsafe chemical exposures for all communities, especially women of color and salon workers, two vulnerable populations that are disproportionately exposed to toxic chemicals.
Your support allows us to advocate for large-scale, systemic changes like this one that will reduce our involuntary exposures to cancer-causing toxins.
