Thank you! I’ve always known that Breast Cancer Action’s power lies in our grassroots activism and the support of people like you and today is no exception. Thank you for your overwhelming support during our year-end fundraising season, which will provide Breast Cancer Action with the resources we need to enter 2021 with fierce independence.
I also want to take this opportunity to start the year off by announcing our new Executive Director, Dr. Krystal Redman! Krystal will build on the amazing work of our past executive directors, taking Breast Cancer Action’s social justice and equity work to the next level.
Dr. Redman brings over 16 years of experience in leading health promotion and disease prevention initiatives, as well as organizing towards equitable access, care, and treatment within community-based and centered programs. Dr. Redman has held executive leadership positions within social justice, reproductive justice, public health, and healthcare organizations. We are excited to have her on board. You’ll hear more from her and about her plans in the coming weeks.
With Dr. Redman’s leadership, the dedication of our board and staff, and the powerful support of people like you, this year we will call out the endless sea of corporations that profit from breast cancer, the lucrative breast cancer mega-nonprofits, and government policies that increase breast cancer risk. And we’ll continue the groundbreaking work we started during our 2020 Think Before You Pink® campaign to make sure the new administration commits to addressing the breast cancer epidemic.
