At Breast Cancer Action, we envision a healthcare system in which everyone has access to healthcare that is compassionate, culturally competent, evidence-based, and supports patient decision-making. Over the last four years, we pushed back on the countless attempts to degrade our healthcare system. And in 2021, with a new presidential administration, we will continue to fight for health justice.
This October we drew a line in the sand with the Department of Justice when we mobilized Breast Cancer Action activists to demand they end their attack on the Affordable Care Act (ACA).
The ACA has made gradual progress in addressing racial, economic, and gender inequities, but we can do so much better for everyone at risk of and living with breast cancer. We will work to expand healthcare access for people living with breast cancer and communities that bear a disproportionate physical and financial burden of our broken healthcare system.
