This survey could not have come at a better time. I started as Breast Cancer Action’s newest Deputy Director in July, and I am eager to get to know our community of breast cancer activists and to do this work alongside you. What motivates you to be actively involved with our organization, what activates and inspires you most about our values and programs, and how do you engage with our work?
We’ve already received invaluable feedback from participants, and are actively learning from your responses. We’ve learned that over 60% of our members’ families have been impacted by breast cancer. We’ve also seen that one-third of respondents have been involved with Breast Cancer Action for over 10 years – a strong testament to the ongoing need for our critical voice.
We want to thank our members who have already graciously taken the time to complete our survey, offering us critical feedback, that will help improve our outreach. As the grassroots, radical watchdog organization of the breast cancer movement, our work and mission are driven forward by community members like you. We value your voice and active participation in this movement.
