By Rebecca Saltzman, Deputy Director
As the 2020 elections draw near, I find myself looking for ways to connect with people who are working for a better future. Breast Cancer Action has been doing that for 30 years by advocating for health justice for all women living with and at risk of breast cancer. And on March 11 we’re marking that milestone with a 30th Anniversary Kickoff Reception in San Francisco. I hope you’ll join me and other members of Breast Cancer Action’s feisty and fearless community of activists to call out the pink status quo and dismantle the breast cancer industry.

I’m thrilled that our former Board Member, Julie Morgan, will talk about the role that Breast Cancer Action plays in her own breast cancer journey. We’ll also hear from Executive Director, Karuna Jaggar, about how Breast Cancer Action has transformed the way people think and talk about breast cancer, including making the link between the climate crisis and the cancer crisis. This evening will be both heartfelt and inspiring.
So, as we navigate the complex waters of our current political climate, let’s take some time on March 11 to get together and honor our activist community, and recommit to the work that lies ahead.
Get your tickets today. And if you can’t come, you can join us in spirit by making a donation to support the cancer resistance.
Thank you!
