Breast Cancer Action (BCAction), a national breast cancer education and advocacy organization, is seeking to fill a variety of exciting internship/volunteer positions. An internship/volunteer position with BCAction provides the opportunity to learn more about the politics of breast cancer and to take part in grassroots women’s health and environmental activism. BCAction is committed to taking meaningful action to meet the needs of women living with breast cancer and to stop breast cancer before it starts.
We work to:
- Address and eliminate the social inequities women of color and low income women face in breast cancer diagnoses, treatments, and mortality rates.
- Advocate for more effective and less toxic breast cancer treatments for all breast cancers.
- Decrease involuntary environmental exposures that put people at risk for breast cancer.

Breast Cancer Action is seeking a motivated and detail oriented individual to work in collaboration with program staff to work on planning member outreach and recruitment strategies. Intern/voluteer will be involved in engaging members, building a database of activists and recruiting members for events. This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in engaging Breast Cancer Action’s diverse national membership.
Advocate Recruitment and Training Intern/Volunteer
Breast Cancer Action is seeking a motivated and detail oriented individual to work in collaboration with program staff to support their advocate training program. Intern will be involved in developing training curriculum, evaluating program and working with partner organizations. This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in supporting a pilot project engaging Breast Cancer Action’s diverse national membership.
Volunteer Corporate Campaign Strategist
Breast Cancer Action (BCAction) seeks an experienced volunteer corporate campaign strategist to work in collaboration with program staff to identify critical points of leverage in advancing BCAction’s strategic priorities. Federal Policy & Legislation Intern/Volunteer
Breast Cancer Action (BCAction) seeks a detail-oriented and self-motivated individual to work in collaboration with program staff to research developments in federal policy and legislation related to BCAction’s strategic priorities and to draft issue briefs. This is an excellent opportunity for the right individual to build legislative tracking skills and contribute to BCAction’s work to change the conversation about breast cancer.
