Please join our kayaking team for Support Strokes!

Caitlin at Support Strokes 2010

Last September I raised $1,625 for Breast Cancer Action by kayaking 8 miles. I had never participated in a fundraising event before, and I hadn’t kayaked in 10 years.

Please join me and the rest of the BCAction team for Support Strokes 2011 in Oakland on September 10th. 100% of the money you raise benefits Breast Cancer Action.*

We know kayaking won’t end the breast cancer epidemic. But the money you and I raise together through Support Strokes directly helps BCAction achieve the system-wide changes that will end the epidemic.

BCAction takes action to put breast cancer patients first, eliminate toxins linked to cancer, and address social inequities that lead to worse health outcomes for women of color and poor women.

Will you team up with BCAction at Support Strokes? Please join our team and give your support network a great reason to give generously to end the epidemic.

Never kayaked before? No problem. California Canoe and Kayak will teach you how for free, and you can do the beginner 2 mile course. Nervous about fundraising? No problem. Our fundraising team will help you every step of the way.

We look forward to paddling with you! Thank you from all of us at BCAction.

P.S. If you can’t join us on Sept. 10th but would like to support our team, you can click here to make a donation. Make sure to choose BCAction as the beneficiary of your gift. Thank you!

*Thanks to the generosity of California Canoe and Kayak, 100% of the money you raise goes directly to Breast Cancer Action. Events like Support Strokes are crucial for BCAction because over 75% of our income comes from individuals just like you. We do not accept contributions from any organization or corporation that profits from or contributes to breast cancer. That means no pharma funding!
